ZTE F670L / F660 Default Password and Login (192.168.1.1)

To log in to a ZTE F670L or F660 fiber router, open http://192.168.1.1 in a browser and sign in. The usual defaults are admin / admin or user / user, but ISP-supplied units are often set differently. This guide shows what to try, what to do when the login is rejected, how to reset the ONT and how to change the Wi-Fi password.

There is no single default that works on every unit. ZTE ONTs are sold to ISPs, and each ISP can load its own firmware and credentials. The values above are the common ones listed for these models, so treat them as the first things to try, not a guarantee.

How to Log In

  1. Connect your phone or computer to the ONT by Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable on a LAN port.
  2. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.1.
  3. Enter admin / admin. If that is rejected, try user / user.
  4. If both fail, read the sticker on the device for a printed username and password.

The user account usually shows only basic settings such as the Wi-Fi name and password. The full admin account, where the internet and VLAN settings live, is frequently kept by the ISP.

If the Login Does Not Work

ProblemWhat to do
The page does not openConfirm you are connected to the ONT, not mobile data. Try 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.254. See the 192.168.1.1 login guide.
Wrong username or passwordTry both default pairs, then the sticker. If someone changed the password, you need that new one.
Login locked for a minute or moreAfter several failed attempts the page locks. Wait a few minutes and try again.
You need the full admin accountAsk your ISP. On ISP-supplied units it is often not given to the customer.

This post does not list ISP-specific admin passwords. Those belong to your ISP, and the public lists change from one firmware version to the next.

How to Reset the ZTE ONT

Use a reset only as a last resort. It returns the device to factory settings and can wipe the internet login, VLAN and phone settings your ISP configured. On many ISP units that leaves you without internet until the ISP restores them.

  1. Write down your Wi-Fi name, password and any port forwards.
  2. With the device powered on, press and hold the small reset pinhole for about 10 seconds, until the lights flash.
  3. Release it and wait two to three minutes while the device restarts.
  4. Log in with the defaults or the sticker details, then ask your ISP to confirm the internet settings.

On some firmware you can also reset from the web page under the system management menu (often Administration or Management & Diagnosis > Factory Reset). Menu names differ by version. A plain power off and on does not erase anything, so try that first if you only need to reboot. For other brands, see the router factory reset guide.

How to Change the Wi-Fi Password

  1. Log in at 192.168.1.1.
  2. Open the local network or WLAN menu and choose the Wi-Fi security or SSID settings.
  3. Change the Wi-Fi name (SSID) if you want, then enter the new password in the pre-shared key or WPA passphrase field.
  4. Save or apply the change.
  5. Reconnect each device with the new password.

Menu names vary by firmware, so look for the WLAN section if yours differs. The user account can usually change the Wi-Fi settings. For a Huawei router, follow the Huawei Wi-Fi password guide instead.

Secure the Router After Login

  • Change the Wi-Fi password to something unique, at least 12 characters.
  • If your account allows it, change the login password too. Anyone who knows admin / admin can change your settings.
  • Do not expose the web page to the internet.
  • Check who is on your network: how to see who is connected to my WiFi.

For ISPs: Where the ONT Fits

If you run a fiber network, the ZTE ONT is the customer end of the link and is registered and managed from the OLT. For how that chain works, see how an ISP network works from OLT to home, and for ZTE OLT commands see the ZTE C320 basic commands.

FAQ

What is the default password for the ZTE F670L?

The common defaults listed for the F670L and F660 are admin / admin and user / user at 192.168.1.1. ISP-supplied units are often set differently, so check the sticker or ask your ISP.

What is the default IP address of a ZTE F660?

The usual address is 192.168.1.1. Some firmware versions use 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.254.

Why does admin / admin not work on my ZTE router?

Your ISP probably changed the credentials or kept the full admin account for itself. Try user / user, then the label on the device, then ask your ISP.

It can. A reset can erase the internet login, VLAN and phone settings your ISP set up, so check with your ISP before resetting.

Can I change the Wi-Fi password with the user account?

Usually yes. The user account normally shows the basic Wi-Fi settings, although the exact menus depend on the firmware.
