FiberHome HG6145 / AN5506 Default Password and Login (192.168.1.1)
FiberHome ONTs such as the HG6145F and the AN5506 series are very common GPON units from ISPs. This guide covers the login address, the usual default username and password, what to do when they fail, and how to reset the device or change the Wi-Fi password.
Quick answer: FiberHome default login
| Item | Common default |
|---|---|
| Login IP | 192.168.1.1 |
| Username | admin |
| Password | The password on the sticker label (most newer units), or admin on some older units |
| Customer account | Some ISPs give a separate user login printed on the label, such as user / user1234, with limited access |
These are common values reported for FiberHome ONTs. They vary by model, firmware and ISP, so the label on your own device is the most reliable source. The AN5506-04-FA manual itself lists no default password and points to the sticker on the bottom of the unit.
How to log in
- Connect to the ONT by Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable.
- Open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.1. If the page doesn’t load, see the 192.168.1.1 login guide.
- Enter the username and password from the label.
- Change the password after your first login.
If the login doesn’t work
- Re-read the sticker. The customer login and the admin login are often different.
- Many ISPs keep the full administrator account for themselves and give you a limited user account. That is a provider policy, not a fault.
- If your ISP changed the password during installation, ask their support team for it.
I don’t list ISP-specific administrator passwords. They differ between providers and belong to your ISP, so ask them directly.
How to reset a FiberHome ONT
Hardware reset: with the device powered on, press and hold the small Reset pinhole on the back for about 10 seconds with a paperclip, then release it and wait a few minutes for the restart.
From the web page: on some firmware you can go to Management, then Device Management, then Restore, and click Restore.
Warning: on an ISP-provisioned ONT a reset can erase the internet, phone and TV settings your ISP configured, along with your Wi-Fi name, password and port forwards. Internet may stop working until the ISP restores it, so call them first and write down your settings. If you only need a restart, power the unit off for 30 seconds instead, which keeps all settings. For general router resets see how to reset a router to factory default.
How to change the Wi-Fi password
- Log in to the ONT.
- On models such as the AN5506-04-FA, open Network, then WLAN Settings. Newer models like the HG6145F may name the menus differently.
- Under the Advanced tab (5G Advanced for 5 GHz), select the SSID, make sure it is enabled, and enter a name and passphrase of 8 to 63 characters. A password of 12 or more characters is better.
- Click Apply. Your devices will need the new password.
Afterwards, you can check connected devices with this guide to seeing who is connected to your WiFi.
Security tips
- Change the default password so nobody on your network can open the settings.
- Use WPA2 or better for Wi-Fi.
- Turn off remote management if you don’t need it.
- Photograph the label before you throw away the box.
Where the ONT fits in the ISP network
The ONT is the customer end of a GPON link back to the OLT in the ISP’s office. To see the whole path, read how an ISP network works from OLT to home. Using another brand? See the Nokia G-140W-C default password guide or the ZTE F670L default password guide.
FAQ
What is the default password of a FiberHome router?
Commonly the username is admin and the password is printed on the sticker. Some older units use admin. It depends on the model and ISP.
What is the FiberHome login IP?
192.168.1.1 on most units.
Your ISP likely gave you the customer account, which has fewer options than the administrator account.
Will a reset break my internet?
It can, if it erases the ISP configuration. Contact your ISP before resetting.
