The Telnet client is included as a new feature in Windows 10, but is disabled by default. It is common for Windows to disable certain features that are not used by the average consumer to reduce resource usage. There are many ways to enable the client, but this article will focus on one of the easiest.

    1. Press Windows + R simultaneously to open the Run prompt.
    2. Type Control Panel and press Enter .

  1. Typing in Control Panel and pressing Enter

  2. Click View By and select view by Category Icons .

Click Uninstall program and select Turn Windows Features ON or OFF in the left pane.
